What is a wine club in Canada?

A wine club is a subscription that sends you wine on a schedule, usually every month. At Wine Club Canada, each month's box comes from one Canadian winery, mostly from Niagara or the Okanagan. You pick red, white or mixed, choose a box size, and you can change, pause or cancel from your account.

How a Canadian wine club works

Every month, we feature one Canadian winery. A panel of wine experts picks the bottles, and the winery ships them to you. That makes twelve wineries a year.

Inside you'll find a tasting note card: notes on every wine, reviews and ratings, and food pairing suggestions.

Choose your colour and box size

Start with colour: red, white or mixed red and white. Rosé and sparkling have their own subscription.

Then pick a box of 2, 3, 6 or 12 bottles. Not sure how much wine you get through? Go smaller. You can change it as you go.

Pay month to month, or pick a 3, 6 or 12-month plan. If you can't decide on a colour, the mixed box is the easiest place to start.

Pause, change or cancel

Plans change. You can switch colours or pause whenever you need to. To cancel, give us 10 business days' notice before the 15th, from your account page.

What comes in a wine club box?

Between 2 and 12 bottles, depending on your box size, all from that month's featured winery. Which grapes show up depends on the winery, and the tasting note card walks you through each one.

Can you choose your own wines?

Not bottle by bottle. Our experts select the wines from each month's winery. You set the colour and box size.

When are members charged, and what does shipping cost?

You pay when you order. After that, recurring charges land on the 15th, and orders leave shortly after. Shipping is calculated at checkout, and subscription prices include taxes. We don't ship to Yukon, Nunavut or the Northwest Territories. If your address carries higher than usual shipping costs, we'll contact you to approve any extra monthly fee before it applies.

Are these wines sold in liquor stores?

Usually not. The wines we feature are ones you would be hard pressed to find in your local liquor store.
